HOW DO I APPLY FOR ADMISSION

To make application to the Learning Centre, a child must first have a formal psycho-educational assessment.  This may happen through the school system or be done privately.  A copy of that assessment report is required as part of the application package.  It is important that the report be current, (within the last two years).   

Children who have been having difficulty in school often have been tested through their school’s psychologist. Parents are entitled to receive a copy of the results from their child’s school.  The assessment must be current and is required before you can move to the next step, making your application.

Complete the Centre’s application form, (downloadable here), and submit it, along with the required report, to applications@srlcfc.com  Applications will be placed on the waiting list in order of receipt.  You will receive email confirmation that a file has been opened for your child.

Once you have obtained your psycho-educational assessment you can then make your Application for admission into our program. The Application will be received and placed in order of receipt for review. 

  Our waiting list is long!  You  need to know it will be a while before your child is placed. In the meantime, we hope you will become involved in our community. Follow us on Facebook for information about events and workshops planned with parents in mind.

Flexibility can make a difference in wait time. Let us know if your family could make a regular commitment to tutoring sessions between 10:30 AM – 2:30 PM.

You must let us know if  any contact information changes or if you no longer require our services. Periodically, we email to confirm whether your child should be kept on our waiting list.

In the interim, if your child has another      psych-ed assessment while they are waiting to hear from us, please send us  a copy of the new assessment. This will allow for a faster process at the time of intake.
